I guess there's no longer a junior high.
I remember an April Fool's party at my house. Don't know who the people are
in the pics. I left the pic large so you can see the people. I don't
remember the significance of the newspaper covering the windows.

"Anybody remember the Nicoll Mouse Club? Those little triangle finger footballs?
Ugly stickers. Mrs Harmon had so many of those things on her classroom door you couldn't see through the window.
Desert boots? Bike bags from John's bicycle shop? Coach Hoagland and The Mongolian grip?, the Tasmanian grip?, Receiving
"waffle butts" when you were in pushup position. The time the Dodgers beat the Twins in the World Series and Coach Bunker
was so pissed he made us run wind sprints for a week. Making dust pans and screwdrivers in Mr. Smith's shop class?
Having to learn the words to "Johnny Zero" in Mrs Klusman's music
class?"

"I remember going to the YOUTH HOUSE after school where Smitty was the
Man-in-charge. We would go there to
play games and sneak outside for a cigarette. If we could
scrounge up enough money, we could go to the CHEVRON (I think it was a Chevron)
station and buy smokes out of the machine there. I remember one girl who
was particularly good at buying smokes there, but I can't recall her name.
It was Sue something (Conners maybe) She used to hang with
Siddoway. I can't
believe my memory is so bad. (Maybe there was something to all that stuff
they used to say about killing brain cells)
I recall
MR MILO JACKSON a math teacher. I remember him taking someone, a guy
into the little conference reeom in the back of the class and
closing the door and slap the poo-poo out of him for
disrupting his class.
Our shop teacher MR. CAMPO (sp) cut off his finger while demonstrating the use of safety guards on an electric power saw. That one I still remember pretty clear.
There was the student faculty basketball game, which we lost. (They were bigger than us)
I also remember
Coach Hoagland and his world famous "Tasmanian
Hold" which he took great glee in performing on
anyone he could get his hands on.
Gary Bunker was another good coach, I remember.
FIS is where I met Chris Behr, who is still a good friend. Chris used to get
grounded for everything we did by his parents. I can still hear
his mom saying, "sorry Chris is grounded. he can't
come to the phone"
Toni Bufalino and Chris were
"an item" then and I recall going to Disneyland on
a bus and smoking cigs in the back of the bus on the way home and the chaperone
yelling at us.
Oh yea, Then there was the RAT PACK !!!" Pete Tanners
I remember jr hi graduation, short fancy dress, hair done up at the beauty salon. Cheryl Moore

her jr hi pic soon) "OMGoodness, you really
are including some of the things from FIS as well? I guess a memory that sticks out most in my mind was meeting up
with a couple people at the Shell gas station that used to be across the street and hiding
in the bathroom for a "smoke" before school. (Note: I quit
smoking over 10 years ago...accckkkkk nasty habit) This is fun, thanks for sharing."
"I guess I should have included my
name in....like you are supposed to know all of our emails by heart?????
hehehehheee Georgie Berls <wink and thanks>"

Libs game we used to play. Cheryl Moore
I remember when the fashion was to tear your nylon panty hose so the tears hung around your legs. Cheryl Moore
Scott Fuller
and I didn't get to know each other until 7th or 8th grade. Ask him if he remembers the handball games
wherein we ran a racket, allowing anyone to play, but charging them if they wanted to win. That's what really cemented our friendship.
Mike Hardy
I remember my first love,
Dennis Riley
, who had to move away from La Canada
to Fresno at the end of a magical summer *never forgotten*. I had to go to 8th grade without him.
Never saw or heard from him again. Cheryl Moore
I remember this very cool dude had a crush on me in jr hi. He nicknamed me Pepsodent Girl cuz of my smile. I liked him but I wasn't comfortable with his attentions so I stopped brushing my teeth for 3 days. I can still remember the look of horror on his face when I smiled. Cheryl Moore

you and your family went on vacation. I fondly remember coming over to your
house and reading comic books (among other things). I also
remember you walking to school with me when you were a
freshman at LCHS and I was in 8th grade and still attending FIS (Foothill
Intermediate School). You had a special function that you were attending
that morning at FIS that morning." Clifford Loy '72
