06/19/2001   "Leigh, sorry it took me so long to respond. The Lakers winning the championship sucked the life out of me. But now I am back to normal.

Yes, Philmont not Camp Philmore. Geez, thats lame!

I moved to La Canada from Costa Mesa at the beginning of our freshmen year. It was Jim Knowles who introduced me to the scouts. And joining up was one of the first things I did in my new hometown. was my troop leader. We all lived pretty close down there near Descanso Gardens. I remember being on this mapping exercise out in the desert. Jay and I were teamed up. We got lost. Nice Jay! We were worried about water so we started cutting up cactus to see if we could survive on it. Jay had cut up a few and his knife blade was covered with needles. Without thinking about it he cleaned his knife with his tongue and ended up with a mouth full of cactus needles. Poor Jay realized what he did and started yelling like a mad man. You can imagine, lost in the desert and Jay sitting there with his tongue hanging out and me trying to pick them out of his mouth. When Muller and I met at the 10 year reunion we had a huge laugh about that one. West L.A. is now my home and things are going well. BTW, what subject do you teach?"

06/19/2001   "This is definitely not me. I'm going to try and get my old school class photos from my mom. I'll keep you posted. Best wishes, Todd Vrebalovich"

06/19/2001 "He looks familiar. I have warm friendly feelings about him."

06/19/2001 "got another question for you Cheryl.....does anyone ever know what happened to rodneylauman69pic.jpg (10956 bytes) rodney lauman.....i went out with him for awhile in my freshman year, he, and i all rode the same bus... i lived on lombardy and rodney lived on palm...bob lived at the end of palm on foothill

"i looked at the class photo and i couldn't say whether it was him or not, the person who could probably tell you is , they were best friends  -- let me know what you find out, i would be interested to know....do you know who the rest of the kids are?" Kathy Loop

"think so...am not sure he went to palm crest...darn, i can't remember where he lived but i know he lived across the street from nancy lamson" Kathy Loop

"Kathy, would you recognize Barry Constable's elementary pic?" Cheryl Moore

"cheryl, I would have to check the bet to . I would guess that he can pick himself out of a photo with more accuracy that a poor ,blind , deaf, old, "burned out former hippie" I also concur with his picks of , and . I think he (MAX) deserves a "mind like a steel trap" award. Those names were totally out of my mind with the exception of Rick Thomas and I just thought Rick was uglier than the one in the photo. (Rick and I are old BUDS) BTW 5th from left in back row is Paul Lamont (it thinketh) "

"I can't believe you put my FIS picture in! I haven't seen that in years and have been trying to forget looking like that. "

06/19/2001 "Run it by , she ought to be able confirm his identity. She went out with him for a while, right?? "

06/19/2001 "Just wanted to let you know that I attended Oak Grove with , , , , , and . Julie French"

06/19/2001 "Thanks Cheryl ,yes you may post my e-mail and I have sent a school picture of about ninth or tenth grade( Texas school). Also will soon doe the alumni bio soon. Max Ingham p.s. I heard from Stan Smith['72]. thank you!" Max Ingham

06/18/2001 "I just got an email from !" Cheryl Moore

06/17/2001   " Yeah, it was great to go to Philmont in scouts - wasn't it? All three of my boys have been/are in scouts. One achieved his eagle, one is a life (hopefully on his way to eagle) and our oldest made it to star. I must admit that I don't fully agree with some of Scouts' policies, but I believe the scouting experience is a healthy growing experience. What are you doing now, Joe? Where are you living?"

06/16/2001 " Cheryl, I remember Palm Crest well, we lived across the street on Jessen Dr. I attended all five years 5 yrs. and then moved away to Saugus, later to Texas. I then moved back before my senior year at L.C.H.S. in Mrs. Muff's kindergarten class I remember pounding on scrap 2x4's with nails in the back of the classroom. First grade was Mrs. Munson who lived down the street from us which incidently was an old house on the Palm crest school grounds. (corner of Palm and Jessen). Her husband was also the janitor at Palm Crest. Second grade was Mrs. Urshel, which had a pool party for us at her house in Altadena. Third grade was Mrs. Patton ,great teacher. Fourth I had Mrs. Simpson which also was my art teacher at L.C.H.S. senior year. Fifth was Mrs. Lovejoy which made us square dance Yuch ! to this day! Over all I have fond memories of the school. I haven't been back to La Canada since I was 20 yrs. old. You've done a great job on the web site thanks, Max Ingham."
