> Glad to see that your son is graduating from Cal. This definitely
improves the overall IQ_GPA_Emotional Quotient of LCHS '71, at least
indirectly. I know its been difficult having to live in the shadow of our
class all these years, but it seems like you, Cheryl, and perhaps one or two
others have found their way.
LOL!!!
>From
> Poor, poor CAROL.... Her daughter is going to graduate H.S. in 2 years
and that makes her feel ancient. I must be from the pre-mesozoic period then
because my son is graduating from Berkeley THIS year.
I've been feeling "older" than you
all since my eldest daughter is 29 this October.
My 2 adult kids have given us 5 grandkids, the eldest is my stepgrandaughter
who is 9 years old.
I still have my 2 teenage daughters and teen stepson at home, and 9yo stepdaughter
who is best friends with my stepgranddaughter.
*still wondering what I'll be in the last half of my lifetime*

Hey, guess what? My father changed his name from Pappaioanou to Paige just before I was born. One branch of my family came from central Greece, in the mountains, and the other from Sparta."

That's it!
> Being deaf, my computer is kinda like my telephone. Between this thing
and my fax, they're the only links I have >with the outside world.
*shaking my head chuckling with uncertainty* How am I supposed to know when
you're kidding or not...
> Have you heard from Lisa Anast?, D'lorah would like to find her.
Haven't heard from her, will put request in guestbook, and I sent her email in
classmates to see if it goes thru, telling her D'lorah's looking for her.

ring finger on my left hand, and I kina type >ith a lisp...
*having deja vu*
> Do you sleep with your computer?
LOL, this week I might as well. Husband's been working all day, class til 10pm
to update his MCSE.
> You are online more than anyone I know.
'98 I retired from day job, side jobs, cuz I was doing too much and it almost
killed me.
I convalesced and continued as mom to my 2 kids, and 2 stepkids who visited
since '96 marriage. No more health scares.
Then husband took director's job 5/99 in CA, he had to live in motel room
while my kids finished Vegas school, then the girls left for 6 weeks in
England with their dad. Husband and I lived in motel room about a month while
having his 2 kids by different mom's for 2 weeks visitation (2 double bed
motel room - can you spell CRAZY!) in the midst of an ugly 2nd time custody
battle. We found a place to live. My girls returned to a home they'd never
seen before. My husband won custody of 13yo son that same summer. We both felt
grateful I was home to help stepson and my girls acclimate, and to deal
with exwifefromhell for a couple of years.
By 2000 dot.com was supposed to have gone public, made us wealthy, and husband
was supposed to be joining me in retirement. *shaking my head* no, it didn't
happen. They're still succeeding, and at a snail pace will be going public:
| Looking for an apartment? How about $100? Viva is fast, free and easy to use. View photos and floorplans - even interact directly with properties, all online. Best of all you get $100 from Viva when you sign your lease. Sweet. Our crazy family LOVES their advertising. |
Now all the kids are doing well, altho we still want me a stay-at-home mom for after school and at night to keep 3 lively teenagers in line. Exwifefromhell has given up trying to intrude in to our lives and threaten to take stepson from school....
The townhome we were supposed to be in for a year is filled with about 14 computers. Stepson is a whiz at computers like father, who is 8 years younger than me and has been computing since '70's. At 14 stepson was programming in 7 languages and interned at viva.com. He's 15 now. Redondo high school is the only high school with their own ISP that services the community. Stepson volunteers there 3 hours a week. His robotics' team won national championship. Now my 16yo daughter is joining him in robotics' summer school. Husband has volunteered to help teach and support robotics.
So I have all the luxuries of the best in computer, my own live in MCSE, life is tame these days, and now too much time on my hands.
I've been pondering how to fill my day lately. For the first time I'm going to volunteer at a hospital - taking the newborn pics. I have a knack for calming babies and miss my Vegas grandson.

"I keep thinking that you had a different last name in high school, yet
you are listed as Christos. Any idea where I got that idea?"
Pete Christos is now a member of the LCHS70 email group too.
