06/05/2001, "I noticed that you and Phil Barron were good friends. I remember Phil because he was on the football team. At the 10 year reunion I was pleasantly surprised to run into one of my best friends back then. While catching up she told me that she was now "...married to Phil Barron." Talk about a small world. Mary Douglas Barron is still the best friend of my high school girlfriend. They both attended Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy. Maybe you know her. Mary's cousin, Stephanie Jennison, dated (you remember that handsome devil, don't you?). If you are in touch with Phil please tell them hello for me and that I hope to see them at the reunion."

From , "I was married to '70 for 20 years. I don't know who Mary Douglas Barron is. Different Phil Barron? My husband was class of '70.  Phil's cousin, , was in our class. I don't remember the name of his wife. Here's a pic barronsold.jpg (110262 bytes)of Phil and I about 3 years before we divorced. The little child standing to your left when you look at the pictures is my grandniece. The rest are our kids.

I just remembered that Gary was in the 20th reunion book with his wife - whose name is Mary.

Ironically your email came 6/5/2001 which was my current husband's and my 9th anniversary of our blind date (a year after my divorce), and our 5th wedding anniversary. He's 8 years younger than me, we gulped at first til that didn't matter.

I now have my 4 kids ages 13G 16G 26B 28G and 2 stepkids by different mom's - 10G by wonderfulexgirlfriend and 15B by exwifefromhell. My husband won custody of his son summer '99, and life got much better. "We" have 5 grandkids, and 1 is a 9yo stepgrandaughter who I've bonded with, and who is best friends with my stepdaughter. We are a bonded well blended family.

cherylmillersfamily.jpg (40490 bytes) 2001 stepgrandaughter's baptism L-R front row grandson Drew Barron, stepgranddaughter Brittny (yes correct spelling) Kummer, daughter Marygrace, daughter Angela, stepson Aaron Miller, 2nd row daughter-in-law Tanya, me, 3rd row son John Barron and my husband Mark Miller.

I know my 2nd husband looks like Phil Barron. *chuckle* What can I say...

Just got back from taking teenager for broken finger. My teenagers seem to be making those trips regularly lately. Know anything about broken fingers being a football player and all?

I forwarded your message to Phil.

I never met Gary's wife. I wasn't at 20 year reunion, and I don't remember him at 10 year reunion. I include his and his wife's pic garymarybarron.jpg (25544 bytes) from 20 year reunion. I recognize , but didn't know him. So she dated 2 handsome devils? *coy smile*"  Cheryl

"Oh my God! That is Mary Douglas! My first thought was, nah, thats not her. Then after about 30 seconds I recognized her. I remember Phil and Gary. I was tempted to say "...maybe your ex-husband had two wives going at the same time!" But, I won't. :() I have to have fun sometimes. Geez, you have all these kids and even grandkids. I can't even get a date much less a wife and family. No SS dated the older cousin. Not the wife. Oh, well. I am having a terrific time on your website. Keep it up, girlfriend!"

< I was tempted to say 'maybe your ex-husband had two wives going at the same time!'But, I won't. :() I have to have fun sometimes.>
"LOL, and I can take it..."
<I can't even get a date much less a wife and family.>
'There's a lid for every pot.' She's out there somewhere."

06/04/2001 "Hi Cheryl - Even though I don't remember you, thanks for sending me the stuff about the LCHS Class of 1971 reunion. I would forward it to my brother Jon, but he is in the process of getting a new Internet provider, and his service is down right now...

Good Luck! I enjoyed scanning through the pictures of your graduating class. Even though that was my first year at LCHS, I recall many of the people from your class. Probably because they played football for my dad, or were friends with my brother Jon. I am sure you will have a wonderful time at your reunion. I am looking forward to ours next year!" 06/04/2001 "Hi Cheryl!  Great to hear from you. You've done a great job on the website - wow!  The class of '72 is going to have to do one of these!  It was great to see all the '71 classmates' photos.

FYI:

- 1971 Alumni began working as a music engineer with Todd Rundgren at graduation, and became engineer for the Beach Boys for both recordings and live performance soon after. He continued this association until the mid-90's, when he became engineer/manager for Mike Love's Endless Summer. Jeff has also engineered many other award-winning sessions, including Belinda Carlisle and Brian Setzer Orchestra. He is currently co-owner of a thriving L.A. recording studio.

- Fellow 1971 Alumni David Winogrond is an award-winning photographer. His website is:

God bless you!- Lisa (Haley) Anders, class of '72

Oh, yes, I'd forgotten, David Winogrond went all through LCHS with us, but moved to Chicago for the last part of his senior year. I thought I remembered him having a photo in the '69 or '70 yearbook as an underclassman, but perhaps he skipped the photo? But I believe many '71 grads will remember David... he was a live wire. I think he played drums in Jazz band, too. The whole group of us who were music buffs in school still keep in touch: Jeff Peters '71, Karl Durand '71 [Cheryl's note '70], David Winogrond '71, Nancy Perris '72, Paul Meyerhof '72, and myself. BTW: Karl Durand married Joyce Downs, Janice Downs' twin sister. I will let them know that you are looking for Janice."

I think I did. *chuckle* I don't really remember.

> To answer your question, I am not sure what 'meshing' means. But to be honest with you, I haven't bloomed yet!

I looked at your face and instinctively seem to remember you as quiet, which doesn't match with your current gregarious bio.

I found a yearbook pic of you in David and Lisa and to my surprise there you were 2 people away from me in the scene. Some day that pic'll be up.

I'm learning there were plenty of interesting people I didn't know, and people I had made assumptions about that were incorrect. For instance, I don't know why but I always thought Kent Hellenga was a scamp. I now think I got that impression in elementary school, and never got to know him in high school to know better. Kathy Loop gently straightened me out. She says he was quiet and church going.
