08/22/2001  "Cheryl, I get a message which states that I cannot access the class website because I am not on the list authorized for access. Something new??? Pete"

"*Aughhhh!* Now what. Certainly not. Been having a variety of problems for seems like many weeks. Today I've finally been able to work on it a lot. Lisa Scivally sent me stuff. I wonder if you caught me in the middle of moving stuff around.
Husband's not home til about 6:30pm. Let me know if it changes for you, I"ll let you know what he says about your message."

"Be careful........Those high tech service people charge double time rates after 6:00PM. Maybe you could work it out in trade???"

"LOL!!! Yeh he'd love that!"

"It's fixed. Thank you for letting us know. I check the site within the firewall on our servers and everything looks fine. Mark just checked from home thru his work and discovered the page you saw.

He rebuilt the servers weeks ago, and has been swamped with work, unable to give me the attention *coy grin* he usually does. It may have been the reason I'm having such odd problems working on the web. Hope that'll be better tomorrow.  Please let us know it's working.

I have more Lisa Scivally stuff to put up."

" Cheryl, You must have given him a "RAISE" cause everything's working again. Pete"

  "*BIG GRIN* Yes it is!"

08/19/2001  From: Karl Durand
I have read with interest a lot of the information on your website.  I have been following the Class of 70 site and plan on attending the reunion that is planned for October 27 for them.  I was amazed at the memories that people had, particularly things like Alice in Wonderland.

If I recall, that was the play the Mr. Barker took to  a couple of elementary schools in Pasadena to entertain the children.   If that is the correct one, it was also the one in which I played the Cheshire Cat.  Dubious distinction.

I noted on one of your web pages that it was reported that I married Joyce Downs, twin sister to Janice Downs.  That is correct and we will be married 30 years this January.  We have one child, one grandchild, both of whom live here in New Hampshire with us, along with my daughter's husband.  It is a wonderful experience being involved in the raising of my grandchild.    Janice lives in Oregon.  She had 4 girls, and now has numerous grandchildren.  I think there are 5 or so.  We saw her last year when we visited L.A., as their mother still lives in that area.    We will be visiting their Mom and other relatives when we go to the reunion, as well as we hope to see other people from the high school classes that we have not seen in 30 years.

I imagine that  the web site takes a lot of time, but be assured that it is providing enjoyment and information.

from Cheryl:

Thank you!  If I remember right, we had taken Alice in Wonderland to perform at another school, and the kids crowded around afterward for autographs.  I signed my real name, and you pointed out with exhuberance I was supposed to sign "Alice in Wonderland"!

*chuckle* I'll post your email in our guestbook!

08/08/2001 Several people have let me know they can receive email from me, but when they reply it's bounced back.  It was only happening with my cheryl@mbwfamily.com email.  Husband fixed it tonight.

07/28/2001 Whew! The web is finally up again. What a week.

07/26/2001   "I talked with Nancy Lazare over the phone and she's coming to the reunion!"

07/21/2001 " Hi again Cheryl- I was thinking about sending you some copies of photos from some of the Intermediate school yearbooks- I have all the books, including the 20 year- If you have copies of these yearbooks, I think the baby colages are really cute and it is so much fun to see all the people you remember. I have been studying my yearbooks, even reading what people said to me- it is so much fun. I also have other personal photos of the Jr. class bottle drive at my house, and then some personal reunions of my friends over the years. If you think you need any more material, I will be happy to go to Kinkos- I don't have a scanner- I can mail them to you- Thank you again!"

07/17/2001   " Dear Cheryl: If you don't remember Mrs. Ellis then that means you weren't in her class. Plus I don't remember you being in that class. Maybe you had Mrs. Wood. Do you remember than in 4th grade they had us change teachers for math every day? I had Mrs. Wood for math. That was the highlight of my day getting out of Mrs. Ellis's classroom for and hour or so. Do you remember Barbara Welch? She was skipped up to 5th grade during 4th grade. The school teachers thought they were sparing us the truth by telling us they were sending her up to a 5th grade class to learn about time lines. What a crock. I figured it out right away. Then at the end of the year they had her come back to 4th grade class for an hour or two to explain what a time line was. I couldn't believe they would continue with the charade. But whatever. Barbara Welch graduated in the Class of 70 and from the last I heard of her lives in Washington D.C. with her 6 or 7 children and is married to an attorney."

07/16/2001 "I remembered my 4th Grade teacher's name late last night. She was Mrs. Ellis. A very strict and frightening woman."

07/15/2001 "Announcement! I just learned my son's wife is pregnant with their third. That will be my 6th grandbaby!" Cheryl
